Kids Spring Style

Spring has to be my favorite time for kids clothes, everything is always so cute and bright. A couple of days ago my cousin and I went into Old Navy and I fell in love with so many things. They are having a sale now, 40% off of kids clothes with the code flykids.  And there is free shipping for any orders over $50 for all of my online shopper friends out there.

Here are the things I had my eye on - some even came home with me ;)

Girls
Boys

Aren't these all so cute?  I know they girls' list is way longer than the boys, but girl clothes are my weakness and there are so many more options for girls (not fair).  I had to stop myself from spending way too much!

Have a great Thursday!

Mollybrooker The Boxer 2014 Shiraz | Wino Wednesday Linkup

Happy Wino Wednesday!

Lindsay and I always look forward to our linkup so we can read all of the delicious wines that you all recommend!

This month I'm featuring a wine by Mollydooker called The Boxer; it's a 2014 Shiraz and it is amazing!  My aunt had me try it a couple of months ago and I was blown away by the taste.  The wine was creamy but also had some flavors of coffee and was smoky.

The winemaker's notes are: "This year’s Boxer certainly lives up to it’s name with its double punch of fruit! Initially, your taste buds will experience cherry, red berries and plum flavours that develop beautifully into that of spice, licorice, chocolate and cream. The soft tannins and underlining structure contribute amazing depth and lusciousness. The Boxer is undoubtedly a WOW wine that will surely lead you to fill your glass first, as it won’t last long once the bottle is open"

One of the cool things about Mollydooker wines is that they are sulfate free.  They use nitrogen to protect the wine, and the nitrogen sinks to the bottom of the bottles, in order to redistribute them,  the bottle needs to be shaken.  The bottles have a screw top so they can easily be shaken.  You have to pour a little wine out first, then shake.  All Mollydooker wines need to be shaken except thier sparkling wine and any wine that's over two years old.

If you see this wine, you need to pick it up - it sure is an experience, and it is delicious!

Two Delicious One Pot Meals

I cannot believe that it is March already, where does the time go?!!

After a long busy day, fewer things are nicer than an easy recipe for dinner.  I've been trying to add a few new recipes to my rotation, and I was pleased with how good these two came out.  The best part of these recipes are that they are ONE pot meals - from start to beginning, you only dirty one dish!

I came across Garlic Chicken Pasta in an effort to find a pasta dish with chicken that did not have a red sauce, because for some reason my son hates red sauce.  What kid doesn't like spaghetti sauce?!!  This pasta was easy, full of flavor and tasted even better as leftovers.  Another bonus - it freezes well too!  Both kids gobbled this up, and loved it.

The second recipe I tried was the Italian Wonderpot.  I've been hearing about these one pot pasta dishes and was a little skeptical.  In the wonder pot recipes, you add all of your ingredients, bring everything to a boil and then reduce to simmer until the pasta is cooked.  My sister-in-law made this first and told me how good it came out, so I decided to make it as a side dish and she was right!  I loved this, although the kids weren't as much of a fan - the spinach and onions were a turn off for them I think.

For any of you one pot meal lovers out there here is a link to 10 easy one pot meals.  I'm going to be trying some of these soon, they will come in handy on days that my husband is on shift and I'm alone with both kids.

Have any of you tried any one pot meals you love?  Be sure to share any recipes!

Have a great Tuesday!

Friday Favorites (2/26)

Yay for the weekend!  I'm so excited for a couple of days with family, friends and to relax a bit, Fridays are always happy days!

I'm linking up with some fabulous ladies to share my favorites from this week:

one | To say that I am obsessed with this Olivia Palermo + Chelsea 28 wide leg jumpsuit is an understatement.  It's such a cute piece!  It can be worn to a dinner out, date night, a party or just when you want to look plain ol' adorable!

two | Fuller House starts tonight and the 90's kid in me cannot wait!  I mean, what was better than the TGIF lineup and now to have a little taste of it again is going to be so cool!  My daughter is also equally as excited; she watches the re-runs daily!

three |  Don't forget Wednesday is Wino Wednesday.  Link up with Lindsay and I and share your favorite wines and/or wine cocktails!
Kids and Cabernet

four | Amanda  posted a great piece yesterday on How to Work With Brands For Your Blog.  She gave so much great advice and if you're struggling to partner with some brands or don't know where to begin, this post is for you!

five | I have my eye on these rings - I'm needing a few new ones to add to my roatation

Have a great weekend!!

Life can be hard and my boyfriend knows I have crappy days. But overall, it is safe to say that I'm loving life. :):

Life Lately

Happy Wednesday!

Life has been so busy lately, I feel so behind in the blog world and promise to read your posts and respond to your comments asap!

It's been quite a while since I've done a life lately post - we haven't been up to anything earth-shattering, but I still love doing these posts every once in a while.  They're fun to look back on!

Little by little we've been trying to finish the kids rooms.  For E's room I'm going eclectic - I'm not doing any one "theme" but putting items that I think look cute together and making them work.  She loves her room, and has helped me pick out everything on her walls which has been fun!

We went to a picnic recently and there is a huge man-made hill (we live in Florida - we are hill-less here).  We trekked to the top and the kids and their friend sat and looked at the view.  The lighting was GORGEOUS so I had to snap a picture of these three amigos.  We had such a fun day spending it outdoors with gorgeous weather!

The sunsets lately have been killer!  Am I the only person that sees the walls in their house turn pink and immediately runs outside, camera in hand to take a picture of the sunset?  They are one of my favorite things, they always amaze me!

If you see this wine at your local store, pick it up!  It is beyond delicious.  Publix had it on sale the other day and we bought like 5 bottles #dontjudge.  Its such a smooth cab, and the flavors are perfect!

This little guy will be 4 in a few days and I can't even handle it.  He's getting so big and it makes me sad to think that soon he'll be in school.  We just finished cleaning up the playroom in this picture - which is why you can see the floor ;)

National Wine Day was last week, and I celebrated it the best way I knew how and partook.  Any holiday that encourages having a glass of wine is my kind of day!

I got my Steve Madden heels in the mail the other day from Nordstrom and I am in LOVE with them!  They are comfortable for being so high too.  If you get these buy them a half size bigger, they run small (thanks Lindsay!)

I also got my first subscription of RocksBox in the mail and to say I'm obsessed is an understatement.  I loved all of the pieces in my box, for it being my first order they got me spot on.  If you want to try out RocksBox enter code kidsandcabxoxo at checkout for one month free.  You can cancel at any time so there's no reason not to try it for at least a month.  I have no doubt you'll love it as much as I do.  I also love that you can keep the jewelry for as long as you'd like before sending it in for your new box!

I finally filled the wall in my formal living room that I've been trying to fill for almost 5 years!  I decided on a over-sized clock thanks to Katie who gave me the idea, and I love it!  I got it at Kirklands - you cannot beat the price for how huge it is!

I hope you all have a great day!  I'm off to catch up on my blog reading xo

Pretty In {Blush} Pink

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a great weekend, we had a pretty busy one and I don't think I'm ready for Monday - I may need to drink a gallon of coffee to get me through today.

Spring is in the air and if there is one color that I'm crushing on it's blush; actually, I've been crushing on blush for a while.

I love how versatile it is! Blush is basically a neutral and can be paired with almost any color and look completely adorable.  Below are some of my favorite picks from around the web:

Are you a fan of blush too?
