Wedding Bells

Good morning!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  The kids were sick, but we still managed to have a nice time, which is always good.

Last Friday, December 26th my sister got married.  It was such a beautiful wedding and day in general.  A lot of family was in town, the food was delicious, the dance floor was full, and the drinks were coming - what's better than that!

I wanted to share a few pictures with you all from the big day.  I didn't take too many because I was busy dancing my booty off - but here's what I have!

My sister and I right before getting into the limo

 Four generations...

Hubby and I (and a sleeping mini on my lap - he fought a nap all day and zonked out at the reception)

Taking pictures... which by the way, is hard with an over tired two year old

My beautiful girl in her most favorite role - flower girl.  She takes her role seriously, veil and all and even requests makeup ;)

First dance as husband and wife.  I wish I had recorded it, it started off as a traditional slow dance and then changed into a medley of faster songs - Gangnam Style, Cotton Eyed Joe and a few others.

We had such a great time and I'm so sad that it's over - after a year full of weddings and parties, I don't know what I'm going to do now that all of the planning is over!

Linking up with Biana... although this wasn't this past weekend (rebel!)

2014 In Review

Crazy that this is my last post of 2014, where did the year go?!  I'm convinced that time does go by faster as we get older - do you remember years taking forever when we were kids?  Now it seems like it was just New Years day last year!

I thought it would be fun to review my year.  It's definitely been a busy one for our family with TWO weddings in our immediate families!

January

It was a pretty quiet month, we had some family in town and played tourist in our area. We went to where they film Gator Boys on Animal planet and took a tour of the Everglades on an air boat ride and saw an alligator show.

We also took our first Disney trip of the year.

February
This was an exciting month - my sister got engaged!!  I was so happy to be part of that moment and glad I got to witness it happening.

We also took our family pictures - these may have been my favorite yet.

March
In March, I got nominated for the Liebster award, which was fun - it's nice to know that people out there like reading your blog enough to nominate you for something.

I also started brainstorming for my Brother/Sister-In-Law's hot air balloon bridal shower and we took the kids to Disney on Ice.

April

April was a pretty low key month.  I went to the John Legend concert with my mom and enjoyed our first full day at the beach since the water and weather warmed up.

May
We took the kids on another Disney trip, and stayed at one of my favorite hotels of theirs Coronado Springs.
Kids and Cabernet had it's first linkup Wino Wednesday - I so love this linkup and reading everyone's favorite wines.
We also had the first bridal shower of the year for my brother-in-law, which turned out beautiful!

I also did one of my favorite (and very simple) DYI's to date and made our Rake Wine Glass Holder

June

We spent a lot of time outdoors enjoying summer and had a Girl's Night Out for my sister-in-law to be.

July
July marked the first wedding of the year.  Everything was beautiful!

I shared six habits to a happy home (at least that work for us ;))

August

I stared brainstorming for our 10 year anniversary party - gold everywhere! eShatki also sent me a beautiful dress that I was able to review, which I loved!

September
September marked our 10 year anniversary, and a party to celebrate it, which was a blast having our closest friends and family together in one room.

October
We had another low key month with a lot of family time and crafting with the kids - which is always good in my book!

November

One of my favorite months this year - we went on a trip to Punta Cana with our best friends and had the best time and made some amazing memories!

December
Another favorite.  December was all about my sister's and her wedding (which I'll recap soon).  I threw her the cutest Lingerie Shower Tea Party and a few days ago celebrated her big day!

It was a great year filled with lots of memories and special times. Can't wait to see what memories are made in 2015.

It's Been A Decade!

Today is our anniversary, crazy to think that we've been married TEN years!  Where did the time go?!  I'm proud of the people that we've become while together and the family we have created.  I look forward to seeing what the next 10 years hold!

It's funny to think back to our wedding day, we got married during a hurricane!  It wasn't supposed to hit FL, but a couple of days before the wedding it did a 360 turn, and came straight for FL.  The hurricane hit north of us, but we still had all of the effects and strong winds.  We had to move the wedding up two hours, our hotel was evacuated (hubby's cousin gave us his hotel room - which wasn't fancy. At all. And the transformer's outside kept blowing because of the strong winds) and our cruise was rerouted - which we didn't find out until AFTER we got married - if we would've known, we would've pushed the wedding to the next day.

All in all it worked out.  We stayed at our fancy hotel the next day, and from there left on our cruise.  So happy that my sister-in-law got the pictures of me at home below, I was so stressed out, I wasn't in the picture mood - but she forced me and I'm happy she did.

Wedding Weekend!

Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend.  We sure did, and I'm still on a little bit of a high.  The wedding was so beautiful and the kids did a great job in their roles!  We still have some family in town so we plan to soak up the next couple of days visiting with them before they go back to Oregon.

This is going to be a picture heavy post, so I'll get right to it!

It was such a great day, and I'm sad it's over.  All of the planning and it's over so fast!  Next is my sister's wedding in December.  Unfortunately, I can't share many planning details (like Bridal shower and lingerie party) on that one until it's over because she reads my blog  --hi Laurie!  :)

Have a great day!!
