Yesterday as I was looking for pictures of my pixie cut for my All About Me 2 post, I came across the album of a 10 day Caribbean cruise we took in December 2009. That cruise was one of the best vacations we've ever been on. We went to Princess Cay (owned my Princess Cruise Lines), St. Kitts, Dominica, Barbados, St. Lucia and Antigua -- there might be one or two more I can't remember.
We went with a big group of friends which was awesome because it made the 10 days full of fun. I think long cruises are best with friends. We sang karaoke, did wine tasting, went on excursions, stayed up late eating and talking, went to the hot tub, sat by the pool and just had the best time together.
For those of you wondering, he made it to the Top 5 of the karaoke contest. Can he sing? Not-so-much, but he has great stage presence! :)
This vacation is one of those vacations that goes down in history in our group of friends. The one that when we're all together will be brought up, stories will be shared, and we'll all get a good laugh out of. It was also one of the last vacations we would have taken before I got pregnant and our lives changed forever; vacations will never be as care-free again.
Seeing all of these island pictures makes me look forward to our 10 year anniversary trip later in the year to Dominican Republic! While I've been to Dominican Republic many times since I have family there, this will be the first time I stay in a resort and see it "tourist style".
