Family Pictures 2016

Happy Tuesday!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  It was nice to have an extra day off with the kids - long weekends are always the best!

We got our pictures back last week, and I couldn't wait to share them with you all.  I love the way they came out!  This year we dressed a little different than past years, usually we would all wear jeans and nice shirts but this year, I decided to have us girls dress up a little fancy for the pictures.   We also chose an area in Ft. Lauderdale that is a bit urban and rustic as opposed to our usual park pictures.  The end result is LOVE!   It was FREEZING the day we took these and the wind was crazy strong. The kids were such troopers - they are such go with the flow kids, which made for a smooth photo session.  There were so many good ones, but instead of boring you, I'm going to share my absolute favorites.

 I love taking these yearly.  It's incredible how much the kids change in so little amount of time, they're always so much fun to look back on!


For any of you wondering here are the details of what we wore.  My shoes are discontinued but I found similar ones, same with my skirt.

#LovelyStyledLife | Week 1

Happy Hump Day!

Last week Lindsay and I started our new hashtag series on Instagram, and we loved seeing all of your pictures and are so happy so many of you used our hashtag.  It's such a fun way to celebrate the things that make us smile in life!

Aren't all of these great?  Another plus to the hashtag was that I was able to find some pretty fabulous accounts - I love finding accounts that give me decor, cooking and fashion inspiration.  Today marks the second week of #LovelyStyledLife - don't forget to use the hashtags on your pictures!  Can't wait to see what's putting a smile on your face this week!

#LovelyStyledLife Instagram Series

Lindsay and I are so excited to launch an Instagram series for the month of February.  We both love Instagram  and thought this would be such a fun idea to get some of our fellow blogger friends and their friends involved.  The series starts Wednesday, February 3rd - it will be done weekly on Wednesdays.

We would love for you to use the hashtag #lovelystyledlife on pictures you post that have to do with things that inspire you: home decor, fashion, cooking, food - anything!  Once you use the hashtag, tag a few of your friends so that they can play along!  We all get wrapped up in the mundane things in life, it's nice to have a reminder of the small things in life that we're passionate about and that make us smile.  We will also be featuring some of our favorite pictures on our Instagram accounts.

Family Pictures on the Brain

It's that time of year when I start thinking and planning for family pictures.  I usually wait until it gets cooler out so we don't sweat to death while we're taking pictures since I much prefer taking them outside than in an indoor studio.  I love how the pictures catch you in the moment, rather than forced smiles; and lets face it - nothing beats sunlight!  It's been over a year since we've taken some pictures so it's time #momfail
