Friday Favorites (2/5)

Have a great weekend! No te olvides de decirles a los tuyos cuanto los quieres, tal vez con un detalle de www.dimequemequieres.net:
 Happy Friday!

I hope you all have had a great week!  Ours was a good one, and now I'm looking forward to Sunday and eating all of the yummy Super Bowl food!  We're having a viewing party here, if you are too or can't decide what to bring to a viewing party, check out my post from this week - I gathered a few yummy options for game day and some inexpensive decor ideas!

I'm linking up to share my favorites from this week, and I'm trying a new layout to make it a little easier.

one |  I'm pretty sure we can all agree that this shirt is pretty accurate!  I need this in my closet asap!

two | I'm in love with these Steve Madden heels - the color and style is perfect, they're so versatile!

three | I'm a huge fan of Kate Spade earrings (and everything else she makes) these are next on my list to get.  I love the gold glitter with the black stone.

four | This Michael Kors watch is so pretty and unique, the double band is so pretty!

five | Target has these glass and metal organizers that I'm drooling over.  They have a three compartment one, and one that is perfect to stash makeup in.  I'm so tempted to pull the trigger on these - I'm obsessed with gold!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

My New Favorite Accessory

I have never been much of a watch person, mostly because my wrists are so small that I always felt that watches looked funny on me.  Lately though, I've been getting more into watches and wanting to get one; so you can imagine my excitement when Jord contacted me.  I knew as soon as I laid my eyes on their watches that I wanted one.  They are the most unique and beautiful watches I have ever seen!

Jord makes their watches entirely out of wood.  The quality is outstanding and they can be worn all day although they are wood.  They are splash proof so there is no need to take them off when doing the dishes or chores around the house.  I love the beautiful variations and the wood grain on the watch; I got the Ely watch in Natural Green and Maple wood.

This watch is hands down one of my favorite pieces and I find myself wearing it all of the time - no matter how casual or dressy my outfit is.  Most times that I have it on, someone stops me to comment on how pretty the watch is and where they can get one, it's a conversation starter for sure!  Picking a watch was not easy for me, because they are all so pretty!  They have a great selection for men and also have a unisex version if you wanted to match with your other half.

If you are in the market for a watch or a unique gift for someone, you cannot go wrong with a Jord watch!

My Last 5 Purchases

I've come across a few gems in my shopping in the last few months.  I thought I'd share a few of my favorites, most of which are from Nordstrom, shocker I know.  I can't seem to get enough of Nordy's lately.

one | Lush Knit Maxi Dress - I bought this in the Nordstrom Friends & Family sale.  I still need to have it hemmed (everything is always long on me) but I already know that I'm going to love wearing this dress.  It's very lightweight and super comfortable.

two | Kendra Scott Arden 'Station Cuff"  - This cuff is GORGEOUS!  I love the way it shines as the light catches it and I also love how simple it is, simple elegance.  This cuff is on lots of repeat!

three | BP Glided Edge Stone Pendant Necklace - Yet another Nordstrom find.  This beauty is under $9.  It's great for layering or wearing on it's own.  My favorite part is that both sides of the pendant are the stone so it doesn't matter if it gets turned over, it still looks fine (this happens to people with kids, ha).

four | Printed Crepe Shirt Dress - We all know that Target has been killing it this season.  I found this dress last week and love it.  It looks way prettier in person and it's so comfortable - I wore it all day last Friday.

five | Lucite Makeup Organizer - I found these organizers at TJ Maxx and they have been heaven sent!  My makeup was out of control the way it was organized before, and I could never find anything!  These are half the price of most lucite organizers and I can finally see all that I have!  Double win!

Pinterest Haul

With being stuck at home for the past week or so, I've been diving deep into Pinterest a ton for ideas and some good ol' eye candy.

Here are a few of the gems I've found...

Clothing:

I'm loving this dress, from Haute.com - have any of you ever heard of Haute.com?  It's a Nordstrom company.  It's the first I ever heard of it.  Just check out the sleeves of this dress, doesn't it look like such a comfy/cute maxi?  Unfortunately, it's sold out.

This outfit is also super cute, I'm not sure I could get away with the long sleeves in Summer here - but I love how she styled the outfit.  And also loving that there's a glass of wine in her hand ;)

Have you seen the transformation Keds have made?  These wedges are the cutest!

Home Eye Candy

Can we take a moment to soak in the gorgeousness of this office?!  I love everything about this space!

Another beautiful room - the mixing of textures so pretty!

And this little girl's room, swoon!

Home Articles and Posts to Read

I'm always intrigued by plants and which make good house plants... you know, for my black thumb ;).  This gives you a list of plants that help the air quality in your house the best.

Julie Blanner gives Organization Ideas That are Integrated With Decor.  I just found her blog and LOVE it so much.  Her style is impeccable, just look at her home tour!

Ok, that's it for my Pinterest haul.  I could get lost on there forever, there are so many great ideas, tips and fun articles to read.  Not to mention, it feeds my party planning addiction with all of the fun themes you can find!

#CoffeeMyWay

When Jessica from Wayfair contacted me to write a post for the #coffeemyway campaign, it was an automatic yes!  While I'm not the biggest coffee drinker in the world, I look forward to that one magical cup in the morning.  I actually start looking forward to that first sip the night before!  There's something so soothing and comforting about a cup of coffee in the mornings.  That cup is what gets me ready and awake to tackle the day.

The way my coffee is prepared each day differs.  It depends whether my husband is home or not.  If he's home, he usually grinds the coffee beans with his burr grinder and brews the coffee in his beloved Bunn coffeemaker.  He's a HUGE coffee lover and drinks around three cups a day, so I let him take the lead in brewing the mornings that he's home.

If he is at work, I turn on my trusty Keurig and brew a breakfast blend - in my favorite mug of course!  I take my coffee light (with half & half) and no sugar.  I'm not into sweet coffee, unless it's iced coffee - so this is my favorite way to drink it.

After fixing my coffee I give the kids some fruit or their breakfast and then sit in my quiet dining room and write my post for the day.  I love this time of the day so much!  It's so relaxing to sit and type while I drink my coffee.  It helps me start the day off right - with a little quiet and "me time", which is so important when you're a stay-at-home mom.

What's your morning ritual like?  Do you sit and enjoy your coffee quietly or do you drink it during the hustle and bustle of the morning?

May Favorite Things

We're one more day closer to the weekend and what other way to celebrate than to link up with Emily and talk about my Favorite Things for May!  How is it May already?!

Serena & Lily
Since coming into the blogging world I've been introduced to Serena and Lily.  I absolutely love all of their products!  Just look at the gorgeous room below, I can't get enough of their site!

Rustic Playroom
We are debating on weather to make our front room a playroom or not.  It kind of bothers me because it's the first room you see when you walk in the house and I don't want it to look too kiddish.  I saw this Rustic Playroom on IHeart Organizing's blog and I must say, if my playroom could look something like this, I wouldn't be so weary about it, I'm just not sure I can pull it off.  Do any of you have a playroom that's in plain view when people come over?  Do you find it hard to keep it neat?

Tervis Tumbler Cups
I'm in love with these cups and it's all that we use in our home, well at least for us - when company comes we use glass of course.  Tervis cups leave your cold drinks cold and your hot drinks hot and they come in so many cute designs and you can even design your own cup!

Tervis Tumbler
I think their new peacock design is so cute!

Cape Cod Jalapeno Chips
Anyone who knows me knows I love spicy food -- these chips are delicious and I'm pretty much obsessed, if I'm left alone with them I can pretty much eat the whole bag by myself!

Spring and Summer Favorites

As much as I love cooler weather here in FL, I also look forward to the warmer months too. Summer is such a fun time - the kids are off of school and my mommy friend's and I get together a lot more and have a lot of pool and beach time with the kiddos.  I also love that the days are longer and we're able to hang outside a bit longer and enjoy grilling or some extra pool time. Another plus are all of the beautiful blooms - one of my favorite things to do is go to Whole Foods and pick out a gorgeous bunch, what's better than fresh flowers at home?

Here are some of the things that remind me of the the warmer temps outside:

Day-To-Day Must Haves

While getting abnormally excited about buying a cleaning product for my house, it suddenly came to me that there are some things that are "must haves" for me.  These are the things that make me happy day-to-day:

Magic Eraser
I LOVE this little magic white bar - whoever invented this is a GENIUS.  If J decides that he wants to make me a little crayon masterpiece on our knock down walls or E got her play lipgloss all over her white dresser and it looks stained - no worries the Magic Eraser takes it away in a couple of minutes!

Keurig Coffee Maker
I look forward to my cup of coffee in the mornings and the Keurig machine is the best, it makes my coffee in seconds, which is great because I don't want to wait for a pot to brew especially if I've been up multiple times at night. I'm able to get the kids their juice/milk and make my coffee at the same time.  Plus, it allows for me and hubby to make the coffees we like (me light, him mud).

Clorox Anywhere Spray
This stuff is amazing, you can spray it on any hard surface and it disinfects 99.9% of germs and is non-toxic! I've been using it tons this week while the kids have been sick.  It's also a nice and easy way to disinfect toys and handles.

Clorox Greenworks Spray
It's 98% natural and it also cleans stainless steel, uh goodbye fingerprints!  I also like that I can clean the kids' table or highchair and I don't feel like if a grape falls out of their bowl and lands on the table they're ingesting chemicals.  I love this spray and it smells so good.  Next up to try are the Meyer's cleaners - I've heard wonders about them.

Wine
Does this need an explanation?!  It's my favorite way of unwinding after a long day.

iPad
One of my favorite purchases since entering into mommy-hood.  I love having this handy all day.  I'm able to go on Pinterest, browse the internet, catch up on my favorite blogs and reply to emails without having a big laptop open or looking at my small iPhone screen.

Slippers
As I have mentioned before, I need my slippers, like really need them.  This mama is on her feet a lot all day and our floor is stained concrete which means it's super hard and my feet hurt if I don't have my slippers on.

Bath and Body Works Candle
Most days I light a candle throughout the day.  It a great way to get the house smelling good and relax a bit. The only candles I buy are Bath and Body Works - they're such a great candle for the price, they literally smell up my whole house without being too strong.  My favorite scent is Eucalyptus Spearmint

What are your day-to-day must haves?  Is there anything that I'm missing out on and should add to my list?
