11 Random facts about myself:
- I pride myself in keeping my home as neat as I can (it's hard with 2 kids) but for some reason, my drawers are are always messy... Not messy in the sense that they can't be closed it's just they're not organized... outta sight outta mind I guess.
- I drink a glass (or two) of wine every night. The antioxidants are good for you right? :)
- I was born in New York but moved here when I was five. I always wished we lived there longer so I could've kept the accent.
- I got married during a hurricane... not the ideal weather conditions for a wedding, but we made do
- I don't drink soda, my carbonated drink of choice would be La Croix sparkling water
- I would love to learn how to do makeup professionally and do it as a little side job - I love makeup!
- I'm really petite - I'm 4'11
- I naturally have curly hair
- In the past year I've started to get gray hairs, and they're starting to come in full force
- I'll be 30 in 2 months
- I would love to move to Oregon, but know that I would miss my family, friends, and familiarity of life here too much, so for now visiting will have to do
Definitely the bible. It motivate me to be the best person, mother, wife, friend and how to live my life the best possible way.
2. If you could change one event in your life, what would it be and why?
I know this may sound a bit silly, but it would be picking out my wedding dress. You see, my dress was given to me (unworn) by some friends of the family. Their daughter's engagement fell through and they had the dress, I figured it would be a way I could save some money and use it towards something else - like the photographer or honeymoon. The dress was pretty, but not my style and it's one of my biggest regrets. I wish I could've had the experience of picking out my dress and wearing something that I absolutely loved.
3. Do you have any siblings?
Yes, two sisters
4. What are your favorite blog topics to write about?
Motherhood, wine, decor and of course Five on Friday - those are so fun, it's a total brain dump of mishmashed things.
5. What are your favorite blog topics to read about?
Some of my favorites include Day in the life posts, DIY, recipes, motherhood, organizing, beauty tips - basically I'm easy to please.
6. What is your favorite blog to follow?
Ahhh....They're so many!!! Hanging with the Hewitts, Designer Bags and Dirty Diapers, Pink and Fabulous, Skinny Taste, iHeart Organizing, Katie Elizabeth, Honey We're Home, Freckles Chick, Hello Newlywed Life and Yellow Mango Life .. not necessarily in that order, but if you haven't checked any of these blogs out, please do so you wont be disappointed!
7. Do you have any hidden talents?
No! I wish!! Hubby always tells me that I can sing, but I think love is deaf haha
8. Besides blogging, what are other things that you enjoy doing?
I love traveling, spending time with friends and family and pinning things on Pinterest - nothing too wild, but they're all fun to me. Honestly, my idea of a great night is having some friends over (or going to their house) eating good food, drinking good wine and just enjoy each other's company with no distraction.
9. If money was no deterrent, name 1 thing you would love to do?
Go to Bora Bora or Greece for 10 days!!!! I'd love to go to either place and have the best long vacation.
10. What is your idea of a perfect day?
A perfect day for me (with kids) would be one that the kids would get along, the house was clean, and we got of the house and did something fun as a family. OR (without kids) Hanging out with some friends going to the beach, out to eat and maybe staying at a hotel for the night.
11. What would you consider one of your imperfections?
One of my imperfections would be being very particular with things. I have a way and a system for a lot of things, especially with my kids. I just need to learn to sit back and let things be especially when they're out of my control (or someone is babysitting) - ha!
Thank you again for the nomination, I appreciate it and am so happy to have you as my readers!!
Have a great Tuesday!!!
