Since I usually feature red wines because they're my favorite, I figured I should switch it up a bit and feature a white wine.
I picked up this Candoni Pinot Grigio. The bottle looked interesting and it had a tab on it where it said the wine was 90 points. I chilled the wine and tried it. Oh my goodness was it good. I'm not really a white wine lover, but this wine was really delicious. It was so refreshing, slightly sweet and easy to drink
Here are the wine maker's notes: "Crisp, well-structured and sophisticated.
It has a rich, pear-like nose, which is followed by crisp acidity, a medium body and a delicious mouth feel."

I had a glass before dinner, and a glass with dinner which was a roasted turkey breast, sauteed broccoli and a caesar salad and it was delicious. Per the Candoni website this wine would go good with "fish, seasonal pasta dishes or chicken and a perfect glass of wine for a hot summer’s day or served as an aperitif"
If you ever come across this wine it's a definite buy - I got it at our grocery store (Publix) but if you can't find it at your local store it can be purchased here.

I'm a white drinker during the spring and summer, but as soon as we get that first cold snap out come my heavy reds! That one looks good!
I love a good Pinot Grigio (Ramona Singer style!) and I definitely need to try this!
Yum! I'm a huge fan of white wines and our Harris Teeter has a great selection, so I hope I can find it there. After this week, I know I'll need a bottle or two.
