On Monday starts the beginning of a new era, one that includes major routines, homework, uniforms, tests, packing of lunches, and not seeing my baby girl every second of every day. While part of me is excited for her, the other part is freaking out! How did time fly so fast? I feel like she's not old enough to leave my side and to think that she'll be gone 7 hours a day is pure craziness!
She's going to a small charter school where I'll have to volunteer 30 hours throughout the school year. Even though my presence will be known, I also want to start the school yearbeing the teacher's favorite on the right foot with the teacher - after all she is going to be taking care of my girl for 10 months!
I took to Pinterest for some inspiration for some fun gift ideas for the teacher...

I saved the best for last!
I think these are all such great ideas and I know I'd love any of these if I were a teacher! Do you normally bring gifts to the teacher on the first day? What things have you gifted, I'd love to hear!
Such sweet ideas, I know my sister would love the lotion set!
Oh, these are so adorable - definitely agree with you that the "pink" set is my favorite!
So many cute ideas! And how cute is your daughter in her jumpsuit? So stylish! :)
Sequins & Sea Breezes
If I was your daughter's teacher I'd be so happy with any of these especially the pink one! :) xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
So thoughtful of you to think of her teacher. I definitely like the last one! Super cute :)
Teacher here .... I vote for the last one. One suggestion, get to know the teacher and find out if she has allergies to anything. Reason being: I have a severe peanut allergy and I have to let it be known because when the little ones bring me in gifts and they want me to "try" something right then and there and I can't because it has peanuts in it or peanut butter and it always makes me sad because they are so excited to share their gift at the moment they hand it over. All your finds were special. You will be fine and volunteering is an extra special treat because you will know what is going on more in your child's school.
aww i like the smart cookies idea :) xo jillian - cornflake dreams
Such big, exciting changes coming for your family! E is going to do great :) I love the last gift!
Any of those would get you on my good side lol.
Of course I'm a bit biased to the last gift. They are all fabulous. I'm a sucker for a good pun! :)
Awww E!! School is hard, no lie, but it gets better! Teachers LOVE gifts. There are at least three times per year where we give teacher gifts (holidays, end of year and teacher appreciation.) I usually give them flowers and/or wine or gift cards!
How cute is your little girl in her Lily romper! She is going to do wonderfully in school! Dont worry about her!
Such cute ideas! I really like the snickers and joy one.
Ummmmmm talk about your gorgeous mini me! I love that lilly romper on her! I think that last gift would be very sweet and thoughtful.
I LOVE the last one!
Love these ideas gurlie especially the last one and the "smooth year" - too cute <3
Love the teacher gift ideas! My middle son is starting kindergarten, so it will only be Emily and I home during the day. I'm pretty sad about it. I just love having him home. My oldest son Luke is starting 3rd grade. He has autism and up until this year he has had the same teacher from kindergarten to 2nd grade. 3rd grade will be a new teacher and I think a teacher's gift would be a nice way to start the year. The special needs teachers in Luke's school are incredible and so dedicated. I think I will make one for Cole's teacher too! Love the pink idea! xo
These are all so adorable - she is going to be a hit on the first day of school!
You and your daughter are seriously knock-outs! How sweet that you even thought of that. I love the pink set! SO darn cute! xo, Champagne&Suburbs
Such cute ideas!
