It's the most wonderful time of the month - Wino Wednesday! If you want to link up with Lindsay and I, just write about your favorite wine and linkup below! We're also excited to have Ally from Life As I know It guest host with us!
This month I felt like talking about an oldie but goodie. I know the weather is warming up and many of you are moving on to white wines, but I'm more of a red wine girl, and can drink it year round! I've had Tripache Broquel a few times and I always find it to be a really good choice. Most of the times I've drank it it's been paired with Italian food (lasagna and spaghetti).
Care for a glass? ;)
Upon tasting the wine, I automatically tasted a smoky sweet taste - which is my favorite combination. I also found this wine to be on the sweeter side of a Malbec, almost tasting like a red blend. I had my husband try Broquel and he automatically said it tasted spicy to him. The winemaker's notes are "Deep red in color, this wine exhibits aromas of ripe black plums and
blackberries revealing sweet spicy, smoke and mocha notes. Concentrated,
lengthy and juicy, this wine reveals Bonarda at its finest."
Do most of you switch to lighter wines when the temperature warms up, or are you like me and can drink red wine year round?
Love that quote haha. I only drink red. I used to drink white all of the time, but I started getting headaches from it. Even just one glass! Thank you for sharing and have a great day!! :-)
I usually switch to white in the warm weather, but still love a good red with pizza and other Italian food. Malbec is one of my faves so I'll be on the lookout for this!
YAY, WINE! I love WINE!
This is a great Malbec, we get it a lot! I like my reds chilled, and it is the best way to make them summer appropriate!
Why do I always forget about wino wednesday- please send me a reminder next month!! This sounds delicious, I will give it a try next time we eat Italian. Since having babies I've really only liked white wine, not sure why, but I still like my occasional red glass here and there.
I'm more of a white wine gal year round, but have been branching out and trying more reds. This sounds delish :)
That red looks so perfect. Think they'll mind if I pour a glass at work? ;)
I've never tried a Malbec before but I've heard amazing things! I usually opt for whites but I've been branching out into reds!
I drink mostly red but when the summer warmth hits, a chilled white is refreshing. It is whatever my tastebuds crave, red, white, a blend. Another summertime favorite is sangria. . . we should do a month of posting sangria recipes. Yum!
Delicious and from costco. I can dig it
Yum! 1) I already needed to go to Costco tonight 2) I wanted to buy a bottle of wine! I'm getting this one! Thanks for the recommendation, Amanda!
