Good Monday morning!! I hope your weekend was a good one! Ours was low key, but spent with friends and family - which is my favorite!
On Friday I did some cleaning up around the house and then my mother-in-law came over in the afternoon. It was perfect timing because I needed a breather from cleaning and dealing with a certain 2 year old. Can we say "terrible two's??!". I was able to return some things at the mall and then walk around Home Goods. It was bliss!
Saturday we went over our good friend's house for dinner. They are an older couple, we view them as our aunt and uncle. Although the age difference, we LOVE hanging out with them. They are so much fun, and such a great example of marriage and love. We both come from divorced parents, so it's nice to see a couple who has been together for so long and the love that they have for one another. Anyway, they made us the most delicious dinner - shrimp and conch ceviche as an appetizer and then salmon with sauteed tomatoes and onions from Ina Garten - yum! I definately want to make it again at home, it was one of the best salmon recipes I've had. For dessert we had roasted peaches with brown sugar and almaretto. We had so much fun talking, drinking wine (the boys drank fancy beer), and just enjoying each other's company.
Yesterday was spent mostly around the house. I went over to my brother-in-law and new sister-in-law's for a bit to help them settle in their new place. They bought a place in our neighborhood so it's a two minute drive to them - which is nice! It brought back so many memories of being newlyweds and figuring out how to run a house together, such new and exciting times!
Once I got home, the rest of the evening was spent with some wine and my sweat pants - perfect pairing ;)

I forgot to take a picture of myself during the night. I loved my shirt from the Limited.

What a fun dinner at your friends!! I love those kind of nights and that meal looked amazing. I'm a huge fan on Ina!! She is my go-to plus I love to watch her show on the food network :)
Ohmygoodness my two year old has been terrible the last 3 days for some weekend. I think she knows to misbehave when daddy is home because he gives in. Your friend really outdid herself with the meal planning! So fancy!!!! Glad you got to get away and relax some.
Looks like such a nice weekend- and that dinner- delicious! Wine and sweatpants is the best way to end the weekend.
