Cleaning Schedule

Good Morning!

I'm finally awake enough to type this, I had a rough night with Jonah who decided to be up from 2:30-4:30. He always does this when he is teething - I hate it because I wake up exhausted! Hopefully tonight will be a better one.

I'm always looking for a good daily cleaning checklist.  With the kids, husband and all of the mess that they make (I'm practically perfect in every way) I like to tidy up before bed to make sure the house is picked up and ready for the chaos the next day will bring.

I came across this checklist on RealSimple's website and I thought it was a great one to keep handy and mentally check everything off daily.  I already do most of these chores daily and the ones that I don't do daily, I should start doing (like the bathroom ones - I typically do that stuff once-twice a week).

Without further adieu here is the checklist:

Kitchen

Bathroom

Bedroom

Living Room

Do you follow a checklist?  How do you handle the house chores - are you a daily cleaner or do you save it all for the weekend?

Have a great day!

This is a really good list! Being that it is just the two of us, I definitely don't do these things everyday. I do a light cleaning once a week and a major cleaning, maybe once a month (usually before someone is coming to visit haha). I should start doing some of this stuff more often though!

not gonna lie...when you put the min/sec by the task...it makes it that more more do-able in my head. is that weird? as a list, it looks like it takes forever. but add the time in, and you're like...i got this. LOVE IT! thanks for sharing!!

I love this list! Thank you so much for sharing it! I'm totally keeping your page open so that I can do a good clean up :)

Found you from the mom-loving blog hop, and I'm glad I did!

I have to agree with Elise - the times seem so minor...makes me kind of embarrassed that we have a house cleaner =) I just can't justify spending my days off cleaning so this was one of those things I required of my hubby and he agreed because it means I don't nag him to clean either! =)

I love this list. I have one of my own, broken day by each day of the week. Monday- floors, Tuesday- bathrooms, etc. Every day tasks are done without me even thinking, I like waking up to a clean house too in the morning. Hope you get rest tonight!

I have to agree with everyone about the times! This makes me feel like I can do anything during the day while the baby takes a nap!

Having a to-do list is definitely a good idea. The reason is that it makes things hassle-free and that you're well aware of everything you have to do. It makes your everyday routines easy and organized.
