Recipes and Decor For The Super Bowl

Happy first day of February!!  This year is already going by too fast!

The weekend flew by for me - I blinked and it was Sunday night.  We had a great weekend  - we ate a lot, watch a movie and hung out with family - all great in my book!

Since Sunday is the Super Bowl and we're having a few friends over, it's time to start thinking of the menu and a few little decor touches that I plan on adding to the house.  Although I don't really understand football, I always love the day of the Super Bowl - getting together with our friends, watching the commercials and eating yummy food always is a good time.

Here's what I have in mind for game day...

Appetizers/Dips:

Natalie posted this recipe for a Supreme Pizza Dip and it sounds so good and like it would be perfect for game day! Pizza and football go hand in hand, so this would be a fun twist!

I also want to have these paper bags filled with pretzels and popcorn so everyone can easily grab a bag and eat their snack while watching the game.

Entree:

I think we're leaning more towards having wings for dinner - they're easy to eat and are the epitome of game day food.  Since there will be kids here too, we're going to make the wings mild so that they can eat them too.  This recipe for garlic parmesan wings sounds delicious.  We'll also have veggies and dip, salad, and probably some fries to go along with the wings.

Dessert:

I have my sister in charge of the dessert because she always makes great cupcakes, and they're always a hit with the kids.

The decor:

I'm going to keep the decor simple, but I do want to add a few touches so the house is in the "football spirit".

First of all, I agree that Mondays should be optional. In which case I'd always choose no haha.
