I think like with any hobby, there are certain things that set you and others that enjoy your hobby apart; things that only ones that enjoy the hobby as much as you can understand. It's like your own lingo. Here are 25 things that I think sets us bloggers apart - things that we only understand!
What do you think, did I leave anything out?
- You refer to people as your "blogger friends"
- You feel like you know your "blogger friends" in real life
- Your family, friends, and spouses are used to taking action pictures of you
- You need to get a picture "just right" for posts aka staging
- Speaking of pictures - you know at what time the lighting is best in your house to take said picture
- You feel the need for your house to look spotless in all of your shots
- You take on DIY projects
- You think to yourself "this would make a great blog post"
- You know all abbreviations that bloggers use
- You've made friendships with people you've never met
- A friend or family member talks to you about something they've read on your blog
- You love getting comments on your posts
- You worry if you don't get a decent amount of comments - "did my post suck today?"
- You put on makeup/cute outfit just for pictures for your blog
- You speak in hashtags
- You stalk Pinterest and other sites for post ideas
- Your kids are used to you snapping pictures all of the time
- You don't eat your meal right away so to take a picture of your meal first
- You scope out places where you can take your next outfit post pictures
- Getting the perfect Instagram shot is imperative
- You know the ins and outs of Picmonkey
- You love creating your own images for posts. Picmonkey + Canva = FUN!
- You check your email constantly
- You hate when people are "no-reply comment" and you can't answer them
- When you go to other blogs for advise rather than use good ol' trial and error

What a fun post, lady! All so so so true!!!
Oooh tell me more about Canva!
Yes, all of these are so true!!! Blogger friends are so fun and instagram staged photos are so ridiculous but make such a difference :) haha
You summed it up. I have to say, I'm a bit nervous if I haven't fallen into ALL of those and heading towards some more than others. Like right this instance, at 8:12 a.m. I would have gotten a bunch of stuff done this morning, but instead, I've been up since 6:00 a.m. reading, commenting, editing, laughing all on this darn computer. Okay. have to go and get breakfast. I think it really is an illness!!
Yes to all of these!!!! I am saying all the time to my husband or friends "My blogger friend ____...." haha
My favorite is the staging - Gary has even gotten good at knowing what looks good where!! I totally feel like I know you ladies - your my bloggy besties!! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
Great post and so true!! We should plan a big party so that we can all meet.. And have wine of course! :-)
This is so true! I got a good laugh out of this, but everything you stated was true!
Lol yep! I talk about my blog friends way too much :p but they're the best!!
Hahah! Yes yes yes times 25. So, so true. My husband called my blog friends "virtual reality friends" and I just laugh. He doesn't get it but I so do! I completely agree with you on all of these!
HAHA! So true! My hubby knows how to help stage things for me, and that he needs to take like 15 photos so I can pick the right one to share on IG. And yes, my non-blogging friends just don't understand. :)
Great post my dear!
So true! What a great post! I am guilty of all of these!
hahah all of these are so true... i know the one about taking a pic of my food before i eat it drives my husband nuts! you think he'd be used to it by now ;) xo jillian - cornflake dreams
Hahaha, so so true! Great post, girlfriend! xo
Yes! Every single one of these! Love PicMonkey and Canva though I've totally failed and not been editing photos lately. Yesterday morning I made my husband get up early to snap some photos for me :-p
Haha YES to all of these! So great. I definitely feel like I know my blogger friends better than my real life friends sometimes and my husband knows not to touch the food until I've taken a picture!!
These are SO perfect!! I am always saying to my husband "my blogger friends" and he fully doesn't even complain with being the photographer anymore and knows to just take a bunch.
Boy are you right on with these! Many of these I do either so often. And yes, my blogger friends are a species all their own because to date I haven't met any of them, but I probably know more about their lives than many IRL friends I've had :)
I'm with a blogger friend right now and this is all sooo true!
So funny! I feel like I'm always saying "OH WAIT! DONT EAT YET- I need a picture!" LOL
LOL this list is so true! And I hate it when someone is no-reply blogger, because I feel bad that I can't respond especially when they ask a question.
HAHA! Yes to all of these! I'm so bad for stopping my family from eating dinner because I have to set up the perfect shot of our meal. It's so ridiculous but my husband is so used to my blogger antics by now that he just knows what I want and goes for it.

YES to everything! UGH I hate "no-reply", so frustrating! When that happens I have to stalk them and try to find their email another way and then I just feel like a creeper, lol!
Ha!! Yes to all!
I say the phrase "blogger friends" so much, I'm sure it drives my hubby crazy! He once asked (when I was talking about someone's post if I was talking about a real or imaginary friend). lol
I had some giggles reading this.
Thanks for sharing (and for linking up to the #SHINEbloghop).
Wishing you a lovely weekend.
xoxo
Don't forget to link this post on Tuesday Talk!
Yes, yes, YES to every one of these! Best find ever!
These are all SO true!! Sometimes I feel like a complete idiot trying to get the "right" photo and some people may not understand, but I'm so glad I found the crazy world of blogging!! xo

I feel like my house is never clean in my photos, haha. However on some occassions I have completely moved everything to a new spot to take a photo. Definitely agree on the staging, Kyle is usually the victim of having to take multiples of the same shot to get it perfect.
