While I don't do new years resolutions, I did compile a list of goals that I would like to work on this year. I prefer to do monthly goals because I feel they are WAY more attainable than setting goals for an entire year. So I may incorporate these to my monthly goals - which by the way, I will start sharing again - I got off track with my sister's wedding.
Drink more water - This is always on my list. I'm not terrible at drinking water, but there's still room for improvement. I currently drink about 6 cups, I want to bring that to 8!
Be a better friend - Again I'm not bad at this - but want to make it a point to pick up the phone more and call people. With the kids it's hard to talk on the phone without raising my voice or having them interrupt. Not to mention at the end of the night, I don't feel like talking - I want to sit down with a glass of wine and unwind.... I think I just talked myself out of calling people haha, text maybe?! I kid ;)
Wear matching PJ's - Yes, I know this sounds silly, but I don't sleep in matching pj's and I'd like to look cute not only for myself but for my husband too. Right now most nights I look semi-homeless... not cute!
Decorate the house - We did really good last year on this and I want to roll that into this year. We basically finished the downstairs and this year, it's going to be all about the upstairs, which for me is the hardest part. Decorating rooms leaves me at a loss.
More patience - As a SAHM, my patience can lack a bit. So I'm going to try to be more patient and change a few ways I handle the kids so that I can keep my sanity. I think the biggest thing is hearing "mommy" a 1000 times a day!
Less screen time - I'm guilty of looking on my phone too much. Instagram, blogs, emails ect - I'm bad. So I'm going to think about ways I can realistically cut screen time. Any suggestions?

Better blogging - I want to continue to grow my little space here and keep learning more about blogging and ways that I can improve Kids and Cabernet! It really has become a passion of mine and I want to see it be the best it can be! Is there anything you want to see/hear more or less of?
I hope I can work on these and although I may never be perfect in these areas at least make some sort of improvements.
What are your goals this year?

I giggled at the wear matching pjs! I am right there with you. Poor Mark I am such a hot mess when it comes to anything coordinated at night lol
Umm I look homeless when I go to bed too. Years ago I put in some effort but lately I've been awful! I'm slowly working on decorating our house too. If only I had an endless budget to buy everything I wanted now
i totally need to cut down on my screen time too! xo jillian - stop by! I'm hosting a giveaway on cornflake dreams
haha. I have the same problem with wearing matching PJs. My poor husband! I'm currently stealing all of his old ts and pants since I'm preggers. Definitely not a good look. I am also guilty of not wanting to pick up the phone most nights. Adding that to my goals list!
I must have a pajama outfit (unless I'm wearing an actual pajama set) that matches and my fuzzy socks must match as well. Sounds crazy I know. I too am guilty of not calling people back or answering the phone. Maybe try setting up a Skype/FaceTime/Google Hangout instead of the phone? Or setting up a phone date? I do that sometimes and it helps.
i totally look homeless every night. i have tried matching pjs but to be honest i am always cold and they are simply not warm enough compared to a comfy pair of sweats and a long sleeve tee. if its a bit warmer i do try to wear yoga pants as they are at least a bit cuter - according to my husband - than baggy sweats.
less screen time- the thing that really helped me? i deleted almost all the apps off my phone except instagram. i like instagram, but the others i was just checking mindlessly when i was bored, and i shouldn't have been bored because i was with people, you know? i hardly do it at all anymore, so it really helped. just start with one app at a time - remember if its super urgent and you have to get on facebook RIGHT NOW there is always safari - thats helped me, sometimes people will say hey i messaged you on FB or i need the address from a FB event.. so its still available, just harder to get to.
I could stand to cut back on screen time too! Being a better & more attentive friend is on my "list" this year too :)
Oh man you don't even want to see what I sleep in half the time. Theo's boxers, holey shirt, it's ridiculous. I try to sleep in long sleep shirts but then they get all bunched up! I'm trying to work on being more present too. I'm on my phone way too much but I think it comes with having a blog. I actually try to leave my phone across the house just so I won't be tempted to go on it!

Love your dining room!!! I totally empathize with patience and hearing "mommy" a billion times...or my personal favorite, having something repeated 400,000 times while I'm in the process of completing the requested task. Drives me nuts. All in a days work of a SAHM though. ;)
You have my heart at wear matching pjs. Seriously! :)
xx
These are great goals, realistic and some I could totally work on too. You'll love cute pajamas, I have a huge pile of them, there's nothing better to crawl in to at night!
Reading these comments and you mentioning the matching PJs makes me feel better about myself!! I, too, look homeless when I go to bed! Most of my problem is that I'm freeeezing and nothing cute is warm, haha
Haha I look semi-homeless at night too... pretty much as soon as I walk in the door from work I change into the most comfortable yet socially unacceptable clothes :-P
Very attainable goals! I'm totally with you on looking semi homeless at night. It's pretty sad actually.
These are some well rounded goals. Good luck!
I don't do resolutions either. I never stick to them. I am definitely trying to drink more water. I was so bad about that last year. And love the matching pj's one! How cute!
Love all of these, but especially the patience one. I need to have more with Drew and it's definitely something I hope to work on!
Awesome goals! It's so hard to look cute at night, I am literally reaching for whatever is comfiest, and homelessness generally wins. Thanks kids!! You are so great at decorating, everything in your house looks gorg!
Cutting down on the screen time is a goal of mine too. My phone used to be the first thing I looked at when I got up and the last thing I checked before bed. Now I'm trying to use a real alarm clock so I'm not tempted to spend 15 min on Instagram right after I turn off the alarm on my phone. I'm also trying to read a book before bed instead of browsing social media. But alas it is always a work in progress and showing ourselves grace even when we mess up is the most important!! Thanks for sharing and happy Wednesday!!
HAHAHA that card! So true. So true my friend.
We have so many of the same goals!
