Good Morning! I hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was pretty good. We tackled cleaning out the garage. It's about 80% done, and I'm pretty excited about parking my car inside once it's finished. Our garage has always been too messy for me to park my car inside. So this will be a nice change, especially when I have sleeping kids in the car.
Last week we finally got our master bedroom furniture. It's an all white set which I wanted. We went back and forth on whether to get the furniture from Ikea (we were considering the Hemnes set and alternating pieces between the gray wood and white finish). We decided against it because the quality isn't as good, you have to build it ALL yourself (insert lazy here), and we can buy a set from a furniture store for only a little bit more with financing when they had a sale.
The walls in our room are gray and we get a lot of natural light in the room. I want to keep with the original plan of decorating the room, gray and white with little pops of color here and there...
I want the room to be very soft and cozy looking - a place where we feel instantly relaxed when we walk in.
Now, the challenge is achieveing these looks. For some reason decorating bedrooms does not come easy to me. Any suggestions? Where do you all start?

I love these curtains!

I bought these lamps at Marshalls a couple of days ago because I thought they were different and I liked the charcoal stripes. I just don't know if I jumped into buying something too soon, I like them - but I also didn't shop around all that much.
Ok girls, spill all of your decorating advise!
Have a great Tuesday!
We LOVE to go to the furniture stores and see what they decorate their rooms like and they take our ideas from there. I also think picking out curtains is a good first step because they instantly set the tone for everything else! Good luck and I can't wait to see how it comes along!
Alright I'm totally loving those lamps and all of your inspiration! I think white furniture in the bedroom is SO peaceful. The only advice I have is don't try to do it all..just pick a couple projects so you don't overwhelm yourself!
LOVE all of your inspirations. Those rooms are so beautiful!
I love your inspiration pics! Our bedroom needs help. I have plans, but it is unfinished and I have clothes sitting around that need to be gone through and donated...which isn't very relaxing to look at! lol xo
Your inspiration pictures are great and I really like the pops of color that you're going with - very coastal feeling too! xo, Biana - BlovedBoston
love them all, my bedroom is gray and I love it.
i love your inspiration photos! gorgeous and calming colors :) xo jillian - cornflake dreams
I REALLY love those lamps! We're hoping to re-do our "next" room in grays with some pops of coral in there so I'm loving all your inspiration! :) Right now our bedroom is chocolate/tan/gold and it's just too dark for a small space with not great lighting.
I start with bedding and then work out! I can't wait to see when it is done!
Beautiful color palette, and loving your inspiration pics. We went with a gray in the master as well and white bedding. I love how crisp it looks :)
I can't wait to see the final outcome :) I'm not very good with decorating haha, I don't have a technique so I can't really help :(
Our bedroom is very similar with a white and grey palette and pops of color. Target has some awesome lamps right now with grey shades in lots of patterns! I usually get our pillow covers off of Etsy and use those as my pop of color so I can change them out when I inevitably get sick of it! I think yellow is super fun with grey and white! I can't wait to see the finished product!!
I love the gray and white look! I think it's time to ban the dogs from our bed and start over. It's just such a spa-like/zen color combo! #noredwineinbed
Those pictures are so swoon worthy! I can't wait to see your "afters". I am seriously dreaming of paint and sq footage. Hopefully some day!
Love your inspiration pictures! I also love your idea with the grey and white with pops of color. I'm sure that whatever you end up putting together will look beautiful too. :-) - Caroline @ Windy City Chic
Love this!!! Decorating is so tough in general because it is such an expensive commitment!! I love those lamps and think you can do SO much with them in your room!
Can't wait to see the finished product! We have grey walls in our house, but our bedroom is a brownish color. Grey is such a beautiful color and goes well with just about any color :)

I'm right there with you! We just painted the walls and bought a new headboard but now I don't know where to go next! I think I'm going to pick out bedding as that's pretty important to me... and then work from there! Can't wait to see what you do with your space!
I LOVE the lamps!! Our room is grey too. I love it. It's not exactly relaxing and spa like but that's our own disorganized messiness ;)
I LOVE grey walls! An the lamps are adorable! I'm sure the finished room will be adorable - just trust yourself!
