Weekending!

Good Monday morning!

We didn't have any specific plans this weekend, so we just went with the flow.  On Friday late afternoon, my mother-in-law came over and watch the kids so JZ and I went out and ran a few errands together, one which was Target. It was awesome being there sans the kids and being able to look around for a bit in peace.... it's the small things, people!  Friday evening we took the kids to E's favorite restaurant Red Robin, she loves that place so was super excited when we told her we were going.  JZ and I had our usual - a burger and beer!  After Red Robin, we went to the Disney store (Red Robin is attached to our mall)  the kids looked around and played with some things.

I loved the strawberry-ale, total girly beer but so good!

The boy is obsessed with Star Wars!

Saturday we went to JZ's grandma's house and visited.  She has a pool in her backyard so we all went in while we were there.  The kids had so much fun splashing around, it's so nice having your own personal pool!  Once we got home I roasted a chicken, made some green beans and roasted garlic cauliflower mash. I was pleasantly surprised with the cauliflower mash!  It had almost the same texture as mashed potatoes and was really good!  I used the recipe here.

Sunday I woke up with really bad allergies.  Our cat has recently started sleeping in our bed and although I clean it every night, I'm waking up with allergies.  I don't know how to get her off of the bed, and she sleeps there because she know's E will come into our bed at night and she likes to cuddle with her.

Anyway, when I have allergies it knocks me out for the whole day so, I spent the day on the couch. Luckily, it was such an ugly rainy day here, so we weren't missing much outside.  My mom and sister came over in the evening and after seeing Giada's episode earlier in the day (she made Thai) we were in the mood for Thai food.  We got green curry which was so good!  My mom and sister played with the kids and I was able to rest a bit which was much appreciated!

I hope you all have a great day!  Have you entered our Monogrammed Summer Giveaway?  Enter for a chance to win a Marley Lilly monogrammed beach towel, matching mason jar tumbler and a $25 Amazon Gift Card for a new book, beach bag, or any other summer accessory you want! There's only a few days left!

Sounds like a great weekend! Red Robin is one of our favorites too. My parents have a pool in their backyard which is so nice. Do you take anything for your allergies? I've always used Zyrtec and it's helped me tons

Boo to allergies but at least they didn't hit till the end of the weekend. SOO want a pool. Maybe a kiddie pool will "feel" like we have our own pool? Maybe not though ha. Feel better soon! PS The Kid Cab is FANTASTIC - had the white this weekend.

It looks like such a good weekend! Sometimes the ones where you don't really have anything major planned end up being the best ones! I don't care for beer, but people always tell me I should try a cider or apple ale! I hope your allergies get better- this time of the year has been so bad!

The neighborhood pool has been the BEST thing for our first little kiddo. It is as good as taking them to disneyland at her young age (she's a little over a year).

I love the Strawberry Ale, I'm a girly beer drinker all the way. The pic with the star wars stuff, hahaha too funny =) I could go for a burger too.

If you put tinfoil around the edge of your bed it will keep kitty off. Or should. We do that one day trips because my cat gets on the bed and it kills my allergies too. Not sure how practical that is for daily.

I'm a total girly drinkers too. So that strawberry ale sounds delicious! What is it called? Can you buy it at a store? I'd totally be down to try! Speaking of trying though, I tried that Pioneer Woman recipe for burritos you posted on Friday and OH MY GOSH girl! DELICIOUS! Must try!
